RADICAL ACTS OF EMBODIMENT - KATONAH YOGA TO EMPOWER ONESELF AND OTHERS  with DAGES KEATES

SATURDAY and SUNDAY,  March 10th and 11th and March 17th and 18th, 12:30-5:30

One’s body is not a project or a problem, it is the place each of us is always and already living from. Embodied practice can turn us toward that reality and away from tendencies to dissociate. To live in each of our changing, growing, yearning, dying, aging bodies is to be in touch with what is profoundly human. Practice is not to degrade oneself or aggrandize oneself, but to find the complexity of life as it is on a human scale.

Weekend One will focus on practices to empower, potentiate, and protect oneself.

Weekend Two will focus on participation in collective well being through teaching, adjusting, and bolstering others with Katonah Yoga.

Dages has been teaching for fifteen years and had time to make mistakes, learn skills, and refine her techniques. She has worked with an eclectic swath of of students during her career, from hedge fund managers to homemakers to hockey players.
