In this workshop we will focus on how the body, when observed and explored with the right tools, can offer valuable insights in to how well we use our time. The techniques and theory of Katonah Yoga® offer maps and keys to use our bodies as a vessel of discovery for this purpose.

We will explore these tools: The Magic Square, body
reading, asana, and pranayama work to gather information that we can use to our advantage on life and on the mat.

Expect to walk away with new insights and tools to up
the function of your daily practice and facilitate your quest for joy.


Both Mary Dana Abbott's workshops are good toward CEU's with Yoga Alliance as well as can be counted to hours toward Katonah Yoga Teaching certification.


More about Senior Lead Yoga Instructor and Katonah Yoga ® teacher Mary Dana:
Mary Dana Abbott first found herself on a yoga mat over 30 years ago, when she attended Hatha yoga classes with her Dad. Since then she has studied and immersed herself in numerous disciplines and styles and was formally co-creative director and senior teacher at Laughing Lotus NYC for over a decade. Mary Dana believes the yoga practice is about unleashing everyone's potential for a more joyous and radiant life. Known for her disciplined and accessible manner, she approaches her specialties in the practice: alignment, sequencing, and hands on adjustments, with precision, grace, and humor. In addition to teaching public classes and leading workshops all over the world, Mary Dana is an ERYT-500, and has trained hundreds of teachers at the 200 hour level and beyond, and is also a certified Katonah Yoga ® teacher.
