WINTER’S EDGE, SPRING’S BIRTH with Ivy Ray & Eva Giorgi

Join Katonah Yoga® teachers Ivy Ray + Eva Giorgi for the Apex of the natural worlds seasonal cycle. An immersive experience via body, breath and imagination through asana, scent, sound and touch. We will shift from the safety of winter's womb and set a conscious trajectory for an extraordinary spring rebirth.

Every life, idea, adventure and moment metaphorically moves through each Season. To know what season one is in refines prescience - the capacity to see, hear, feel, whats coming, to articulate it. The Winter of Winter is the depth of essential emptiness and the root of all possibility - night prevails and lunar cycles govern. The Spring of Spring, is possibility potentiating - Soils thawing, roots plumping, minerals matriculating into the nutrients needed to produce new life in nature and in you. This is where we find ourselves on Feb 17th nearing the end of the Winter cycle and on the cusp of the Equinox of Spring. In the Chinese system it's recognized that seasonal transitions are the most stressful on the body, mind and emotions, each season's preparatory time begins during the final trajectory of the previous season.

Join us as we take best advantage of the seasons and ourselves. We will safely usher you towards the light at the end of Winter's long tunnel, placing the finishing touches in the womb for the culmination of the Yin cycle, the gestation of the year's work, continuing this potent time of restoration, inspiration and embodiment. We will then pique the imagination and set the conditions for the exponential potentiation of Spring. The beginning of the Yang cycle, rebirth, creation, the season of you launching out into the world new. We will fire up and exhilarate you with a spring technique, take your breath to its edge and fill you with scent and sound then rest at the precipice of winter with vivid taste and vision of the coming spring, with you, as always, in the center of it all.
