Let’s Be Architects: Programming Your Spirit’s Abode

December 7th

11am-1pm

All times EST

Your body is the house your spirit lives in — built of bones, breath, and experience. It is both structure and system, form and function. Like any well-lived-in home, each “room” of the body serves a purpose and bears the marks of daily life.

Before an architect begins any renovation, they first conduct a programming session — a process to define goals, functions, and qualitative aspirations for how a space should serve its inhabitants. In this workshop, we’ll take the same approach to the architecture of you: not just as a body, but as a living, breathing home for your spirit.

Through the lens of Katonah Yoga’s “Body as a House” map, we’ll explore the nine rooms that compose your inner architecture. Using tools of design thinking — questionnaires, visualization, and diagramming — we’ll travel the circulation path through each room, examining structure, purpose, and flow.

Our goal is to create a set of “existing conditions”: an honest map of your current inner home — clarifying what is, what needs to be, and why. From this foundation, we make space for future growth, renovation, and reimagination.

Bring paper, pens, markers, and any materials you’d like to use to draw or diagram your inner floor plan.
