Taoist Philosophy and Practice: The Building Blocks of Katonah Yoga Theory

October 3rd + 4th

11:00am-1:30pm

All times EST

Katonah Yoga blends traditional yoga postures with the practical wisdom of Taoism.

While yoga gives the structural framework, Taoist theory provides the roadmap—showing how energy moves, where blockages happen, and how to balance your body from the inside out.

This 5-hour weekend training with Ari Halbert is for yoga teachers and dedicated practitioners who want to deepen their understanding of Taoist principles, and build a functional understanding of Qi, meridian lines, and hands-on acupressure.

Students will learn simple, repeatable techniques to clear tension, boost vitality, and support daily health.

Expect a grounded, down-to-earth environment where ancient concepts are translated into clear, useful tools you can use on yourself and others immediately.

What You’ll Learn

  • The different Numerological systems within Daoist theory and practice

  • An overview of the acupuncture channels/meridians

  • Qi awareness and cultivation exercises

  • A potent Qi Gong sequence to cultivate and store energy

  • A short and effective acupressure massage sequence that you can offer to private clients and friends
